Notes: Try substituting other fruits or combinations of fruits for the crushed strawberries. You may also wish to experiment with the flavor of drink mix used. The white grape or apple juice acts as a substitute for the syrup the sugar makes when added to the berries. It adds clarity to the jam and improves the texture. The drink mix is optional, but it provides a nice color and adds flavor.
